Product Description
WBC860 series surface printing water-based ink
1. Product Name:Water-based plastic surface printing ink
This product is a water-based printing ink developed by our company specifically for gravure plastic surface printing, featuring excellent leveling, fast drying, high temperature resistance, and good transfer performance.
2. Product Model:WBC860 series water-based ink
3. Product Characteristics
Excellent leveling performance, good adhesion, high gloss, excellent water resistance, low odor, low solvent residue, alcohol content ≤30% (based on original ink)
4. Applicable Substrates
PE, CPP, and other corona-treated substrates (dyne value ≥36).
5. Thinner:
1. Medium drying thinner: anhydrous ethanol dilution.
2. Water mixed thinner: ethanol mixed with water in a certain ratio (adding water will significantly reduce the drying speed of the ink).
3. Slow drying thinner: propylene glycol methyl ether (add in moderation, excessive content may cause reverse adhesion).
6. pH Value: 8.5±0.5
7. Usage Recommendations: After fully stirring evenly, add an appropriate amount of thinner to dilute to a suitable viscosity for use.
8. Usage Precautions:
1. During the use and storage of water-based inks, it is strictly prohibited to mix in any organic solvents other than thinners, as this may lead to many unpredictable product quality issues;
2. During the use of water-based inks, the printing plate must be kept in operation; if there is a long power outage or shutdown, the printing plate, ink tank, scraper, and other areas contaminated with water-based ink must be cleaned immediately.
3. In case of severe plate blockage, remove the printing plate and wipe it with a cotton cloth and nano sponge dipped in an appropriate amount of ethyl acetate or n-propyl acetate; for slight blockage, use a nano sponge or fiberglass rod dipped in an appropriate amount of thinner to wipe.
4. After the printing order is completed, the printing plate should be cleaned immediately with thinner.
5. Water-based ink printing should use a dedicated water-based plate (the depth of the plate should be 7-8um shallower than that of normal solvent plates); if using solvent plates for printing, the printing speed should be reduced, ink viscosity increased, and the oven temperature (PE film temperature controlled at 55-60℃, CPP film 60-70℃) and air volume appropriately increased.
6. After the white ink color sequence, add one to two empty color groups (if conditions permit) and turn on the oven (oven temperature 50℃±5℃). Prevent issues of reverse adhesion due to poor drying; if this condition cannot be met, please reduce the machine speed.
